DVS Student Society
2018 - 2020

DVS Student Society was a student council within the Department of Visual Studies, encompassing all Arts programs and in charge of event planning and academic assistance for all students within the department. For DVS Student Society, I assisted in establishing its brand identity and visuals for merchandise, event promotions, banners, posters, emails, etc. In addition to serving as the Secretary, I also took initiative in rebranding the business collateral and documents to match the new logo created during my team’s term in 2018-2020. Using the new logo created by our Advertising & Communications Director and the documents’ existing written content, I worked to modernize the documents pertaining to the council to make the information more easily digestible for us and future council members. As for the Office Hours design, I aimed to make the schedule convey the hourly information quickly for visiting students, as DVSSS shared an office with another student council for Psychology. To create a distinction between the two councils’ hours, I created the visuals for our shared office’s schedules. For executing these tasks, I utilized InDesign from Adobe Creative Cloud, for organizing the typography and layout, and Illustrator for the colorful visuals within the Office Hours image.
